Eugene A. Campos, a man of remarkable strength, unwavering dedication, and an indomitable spirit, passed away on August 11, 2026. Born to the late Alfredo and Delores Campos on November 15, 1932, in Tucson, Arizona, Eugene spent the majority of his life in Tacoma, Washington, where he built his home 64 years ago. His journey was one of resilience and triumph, a testament to his enduring belief that "The only way to do great work is to love what you do."

Eugene was a proud Operations Manager in the lumber industry, where his hard work and leadership were highly valued. His keen mind, coupled with a tireless work ethic, made him an irreplaceable asset. Even after his retirement, his legacy and impact continued to resonate within the industry. His life was a living embodiment of Vince Lombardi's quote, "The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have."

Eugene was widowed and is survived by 5 loving children, Rita Olson, Debra Schroeder, Shirley Scudder, Mike Campos, and Susan Baker and their spouses. He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren. They remember him as a beacon of support, a pillar of strength, and a guiding light whose love and wisdom will continue to guide them. His absence is deeply felt, yet his spirit lives on through the love, values, and memories he shared with his family. In the words of Emily Dickinson, "Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality."
